If you are the praying type, or the keep-you-in-my-thoughts type, think good things about my best friend Anne and her family. Her grandma (Mamaw) isn't doing well. She is 83-ish and broke her femur a few months back and it's been downhill rather quickly ever since. She's suffered from various levels of dementia for a few years, however the last few months have been very hard on the family. I know Mamaw pretty well, after years of family gatherings at Anne's, and she is an amazing woman. She is feisty in her old age, and never hesitates to say things how they are. There is a lot we can all learn from her. She is honest, outgoing, and just fun to be around. She makes me laugh, she makes me say "uh, WHAT did you just say?", and she just makes me feel good. If we could all be a little more like that, maybe this world would be a more honest place and not so corrupt. I love how the elderly end up being like children in their old age. It all makes sense when The Bible says that unless you change and become like a child, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. (I don't want to get off on a tangent, but I don't mean you can't obtain this in mid-life, I just like the correlation between the beginning of life and the end). So, keep Anne's family and friends in your prayers that they find peace in the rough days ahead.
Matthew 18:3 And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
