What you see is what you get?

This city has never in my life seemed so small.  

The summer after my freshman year of college, this city had never seemed so big.  After 8 months of living in Oxford, OH, where you don't even need a car, Cincinnati seemed so big in comparison.  

After 8 months in Los Angeles, where you can't go anywhere without a car, Cincinnati has never seemed so small.  

I wonder how long it will take until it feels "normal" again?
