Dog's Face Ikea Poster???

Okay. I love Ikea. Absolutely, positively, love it. It's the perfect store for 20-somethings who are trying to furnish their place with new and cute furniture. I had never been to an Ikea until I went to the one in Burbank, CA. It is amazing. I bought all my furniture there when I moved out to California (and later sold it to my roommates when I moved)...but i was able to furnish my entire bedroom for less than $500. That's a dresser, mattress, box spring, lamps, and a night stand...dirt cheap. I love it.

One thing I always really wanted to get from Ikea was this dog poster that I saw on their website and fell in love with. It wasn't available online, but it was stocked in the Burbank store for the low and great price of $10. I had to have this poster. It was black and white and reminded me of Bella. It even had a splash of green mixed in which would go perfect in my room. I was determined to get this poster.

So, I drove the whole 6 miles aka half an hour to Ikea one night in search of this poster. I couldn't find it anywhere. The one thing the Burbank Ikea lacks is good customer service. It hard enough to find someone to help you, and once you do, they are little to no help. That's okay...Ikea is known for their "self-service-ness" haha. The only "dog" posters the employees and I were able to find were actual black and white photographs of dogs. Cute, but not what I had my mind set on. When my mind is set, it's set. I wanted the "abstract, black and white dog face" poster. It was no where to be found.

I wasn't going to give up that easily. So, I went home and checked online again. Yep, still not available online, and still stocked at the Burbank store.

A few weeks later...I went back, determined to find it this time. I decided I would look through every poster in that store until I find it. I am thumbing through a huge stack of posters all marked $10 and I know I'm going to find it.

After about an hour of searching, I find it!! I found the cute black and white, abstract dog face poster! yay!!! I turn it over to check the price and what do I find in the fine print above the price? It says...

"COW IN PASTURE"

what? COW? in pasture?

I thought it was a dog face?

So, I turn the poster of to find out just how my cute dog face was really a cow in pasture.

Sure enough, my dog face was really the ass of the cow. Yep...I spent weeks obsessing over what I thought was the cutest dog face picture ever and it was really the butt of a cow.

Awesome. Just awesome.

I was so disappointed and while I still could see the "dog face" in the picture, I couldn't bring myself to buy a cow in pasture poster to hang above my bed.
